Evaporation: During the winter time especially, evaporation can play a key roll in the water levels in your pool. The air is drier and this causes more water to evaporate than normal. Think of it as an attempt for the air to balance out the lack of moisture in the atmosphere.
Splashing: When you use your pool in the summertime you just naturally have to add water to your pool to account for the water that is splashed out of your pool during swimming.
Overnight: If you notice that your pool has lost water overnight after you have filled it, you may need to be worried about a leak. A leak can be in the liner, at the pump or even in the filtration system.
It’s important to look into water loss to make sure it isn’t a leak. If you discover that it is most likely a leak it’s important to have it looked at because it causes more issues in the future. Small repairs to your pool are always easier and more affordable than big ones.
