Do you need to drain your pool? You do not have to drain your pool to convert it to salt water, but it is a good idea. Changing the water’s chemical balance is harder than starting fresh. Draining it part of the way is also an option, but again you do not have to drain your pool if that is something you are against. The only time draining your pool is a must if you use an antibacterial agent in your pool as a pool sanitizer. These agents aren’t compatible with saltwater pool systems.
How much will it cost? It will cost around $2000 to Convert your pool to saltwater, but sometimes more, depending on the size of your pool.
