Happy Independence Day!

Soon we will be hanging out by the pool, grilling burgers, and lighting off many fireworks with family and friends. Next week as we enjoy these festivities, take a moment to appreciate the true meaning of the most celebrated national holiday.
In 1776, 56 men took the chance to draft a document that would terminate the tie with the British Empire. At the time, the British Empire was the most powerful kingdom! This group of men put their livelihoods and lives on the line to establish a new nation of self-governance and freedom. The Declaration of Independence document they drafted was approved by the Continental Congress on July 4th,1776. All 56 brave men signed the document on August 2nd, 1776.
The United States of America has flourished and been protected for nearly two-and-a-half centuries. We thank these men and all who continue to protect our country.
