Pool Spring Cleaning/ Maintenance Checklist

Ahhh yes that’s right gentlemen, it’s time for the “honey to do list”. Spring is officially here, and you know what the means… cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning! It’s not all bad though… the end results are always worth it, especially when it comes to your pool. We aren’t talking about your standard skimming and filter clean out. Like I said, it’s time for Spring cleaning! Here is an annual cleaning/ maintenance list for your pool to utilize this spring:
- Deep clean filter- In a proper cleaning solution, soak the filter to break down debris. Filter cartridges may need to be replaced depending on the condition.
- Check & clean fittings- On the pump, filter, and other innards, clean the O-rings and connections. Be sure everything is tightened.
- Check pools toys & equipment- Be sure every screw and bolt are securely tightened on things like slides, diving boards, handrails, etc.
- Clean accessories & materials- Clean things like slides, handrails, diving boards, and floats with appropriate cleaning supplies. Ensure these cleaning chemicals do not get in the pool.
